CoM moment #2

     I have seen many women with their pocket pooches at the grocery store before (mostly little old ladies), but last night’s CoM moment really surprised me and had my 10 yo daughter trying hard to contain her laughter. 

     While walking through the grocery store I noticed a nice looking young lady in her twenties carrying what looked like her pet cat in her arms.  On closer inspection I realized that it was actually a stuffed animal.  It was gray, about the size of an older kitten, and floppy so as to be able to drape over her arm like a real cat might. 

     After we passed her, I turned to my daughter and asked her if that girl was carrying a stuffed cat or what.  She smiled and said with a giggle that it was.  I am really hoping this was just a psych class assignment or something where she had to go out in public with a somewhat real looking stuffed animal and see how many strange looks she got.  I hope the look I gave her wasn’t too strange. 

CoM moment #1

My family and I enjoy walking whenever we can.  If the weather is warm and it is not a downpour we are hoofing it.  So Sunday, on our walk to church we happened upon a couple out walking their little dog and pushing one of those bicycle trailers that converts to a stroller.  I assumed it was a family with one or two kids in the stroller out taking an afternoon walk with the dog.  Ironically we saw the same “family” on the way home from church and this time I could see into the back of the trailer/stroller.  No children did it hold.  Instead it had a small pet carrier and a blanket – the stroller was for the dog!
